The time I attended Berlin Fashion Week and Trade Shows!

Hey my lovelies!
How are you guys? Hope everyone is doing well! As I said in May I will be talking about what I did for the past 4 months. Here it is! Let’s start with January!
I went back to university and after a week we all went to Berlin for 5-6 days to see Berlin Fashion Week and trade shows! How Exciting!!

It was cold when we left for London! And it was below 0ºC in Berlin!!! It was really fun though! I was going to Berlin for the first time, so I didn’t really know what the city has to offer apart from it’s artsy feel. A week before I was googling stuff like ‘What to do in Berlin’, Place to visit in Berlin, Best restaurants in Berlin, City sightseeing Berlin! So I came with a list, which I had to finish!
Apart from that, I had Berlin Trade shows to attend!

We landed quite late due to delay and we didn’t have much time left for the day and I was very tired. So I decided to go somewhere nearby! The place where we stayed was ‘the loft’. So my friend and I decided to go somewhere nearby! Alexanderplatz was very nearby just 10 minutes walking from the hotel! The walk was really good and Alexanderplatz was lit! We strolled around the area took photos and ate dinner at Burger King as we all were very tired!

Day 2 started off quite early! Leaving early and seeing the nearby areas, strolling along what was recommended! We had shortlisted some places for Day 2 so we went there! We went to a bookstore, Berlin Wall and Bikini Berlin! The best part of the day was going to Bikini Berlin! Bikini Berlin integrates the world’s first concept mall, a collection of carefully curated and compatible boutiques, concept and flagship stores and gastronomy and service providers. I was very lucky! I went to store and they had a fashion/style/lifestyle/beauty blogger party/get-together going on! It was lovely meeting them and interacting with them! They also had a stall where you could get your hair and makeup done by those bloggers Plus we had free drinks and macrons! Who wouldn’t love that? After that we were off to the Berlin Wall! Well, it was completely dark when we reached there but that’s okay! I took lots of selfies and strolled around the area! We had dinner nearby and we were off to our hotel as we had an early day coming up to see the trade shows!

Day 3 Started with a bang! Everyone was so excited to go and see the Trade shows! We had our breakfast and we were off to our first stop ‘THE ETHICAL FASHION SHOW’ The show was okay, nothing great, the designers were talking about their ‘sustainability’ and how it works well with today’s environment! I think I was there for about an hour max and I left for Premium Trade show! This Trade show is something to talk about! Filled with people, buyers, press, bloggers! Also there were giveaway/goodie bag machines installed where you get free nail polishes, lipsticks and lip balms! The brands here were well known! Since this was quite big, the brand owners/representatives weren’t paying much attention to Press they were focusing on their potential buyers! After the trade shows, we had our dinner at nearby restaurant ‘Muse Berlin’. The food was good. I had ordered German chicken mixed with mexican spices and garlic bread.

Day 4 Again, I went to a trade a show but, this one was different this one was Seek Trade show! The plan was to go have a look and talk to brands you like to see what their collection is all about! After that we headed off to see Brandenburg Gate, Berlin Wall, at the top of Fernsehturm de Berlín and ofcourse some shopping!

Day 5 I was free this day! My friend and I had planned this day to do sightseeing and go to museums! We went to the Spy Museum, Salvador Dali Museum after that we headed to see the East side Gallery and take photos there!

Day 6 we just had a few hours left today as we’re leaving today! So today I just went to French Cathedral and had an early lunch, then headed back to the hotel to collect our luggage and then off to Nottingham!

The time i was a runner at Nottingham Fashion Week!

Hi my lovelies!
How are you guys!? As promised I will be talking about what happened in the last 4 months with me.. So here it is! Today’s post is all about Nottingham Fashion Week.

Showcases of local independent brands run by Creative Quarters, Nottingham. Nottingham Fashion Week is a pretty small-scale event compared to any another fashion week. Still there is a lot to learn from this small-scale event. The show took place in Seinton Market, Nottingham where independent designers in Nottingham come and showcase their designs and later people could pop in popup store to buy anything they like or just stroll around and take pictures! 48 hours of fashion! Who doesn’t like that? The exhibit included works of Nottingham’s very own designers namely The Drift Generation, Genius Clothing, Flux, ULLR & SKADE and more. There was a live band to open the evening in every showcase room, free glitter stall. With a white urban backdrop it gave the feeling of contemporary clothing.

Well my role was to help these brands getting ready for their catwalk shows and later help in their popup store! It was really nice working for them. During the catwalk show I also had to see how many people are watching and see if the show is running in the order! We were a team 10 people. So the work was divided amongst us! During the Catwalk show I managed to click some snaps and mini clips of the show. So here they are.

MY favourite pieces from Catwalk!

Flux and Genius fitness
A range of hoodies and sportswear were presented by the designers, featuring signature slogans and logos. What I loved about this catwalk was each model had something new to offer than simply just walking the ramp. Each model performed several tricks including football and gymnastics.

Thrift generation
The title pretty much speaks for itself! The designers have mixed and infused sportswear with funky clothing to produce something that new! The gold cape is everything. The material and trim seemed to be pleats in a cape which stands out!!

Hope you guys liked it!!

These pieces will spice up your closet!

Hi guys!
How are you my lovelies? It’s finally December! yay! Winter is approaching fast and we all need some fashion pieces to spice up our wardrobe! We all have those outfits in our arsenal that we whip out whenever we can’t think of what to wear. If you are looking for new ways to spice up your old outfits, add these pieces to your wardrobe for an endless amount of new outfits!

A bright/neon purse- If you’re looking to add something to jazz up your wardrobe but you don’t completely want to commit to adding bright colors, try a purse. You can take it off whenever you get to your final destination, but it adds something great to your outfit!

A colorful blazer/coat- If you’re someone who isn’t scared of color, go all out with a colorful blazer. There’s no one stopping you from wearing bright colors just because it’s cold outside. If you have an outfit that’s mostly comprised of neutrals, why not go bold with a colorful blazer? You’re sure to turn heads and get people’s attention!

A bold necklace- They immediately add a gorgeous touch of dimension to any look you’re bored with. If you’re not feeling bright colors this fall and winter, don’t worry, you can still rock a statement necklace! Find statement necklaces that are jewel-based.

Faux Fur vest- Faux fur vests are, without a doubt, one of the biggest trends of the fall and winter seasons this year. It adds texture and dimension to an outfit that’s fairly simple on its own. If you have outfits in your arsenal that you’ve been wearing forever and you’ve grown sick of them, try throwing a faux fur vest over the look.

What’s your favorite way to add something new to your old clothes and outfits? Let me know in the comments!

Hope you guys liked it!
Until next post,

Ways to wear leopard prints this season…

Hi guys!
How are you my lovelies? I know today is Black Friday Sale! I can’t wait to go out and see what brands have put up on sale!! Next post I will share what I bought on Black Friday Sale! As you know Leopard prints are in this season and no doubt it adds the cutest touch to any outfit! So going through hours of Pinterest, I finally collected some styles of sporting a leopard print! Hang tight… here it goes!

A skinny belt– if you’re not that confident on carrying out leopard print, start with a skinny belt. It adds just a touch of leopard print to any outfit, and it looks great with so many different colors.
High heels– I think that leopard print heels add such a chic touch to any look people aren’t expecting. I think they look great with a cute, monochrome dress!
Leopard print scarf– Usually people think of wearing leopard print with something black, but wearing a leopard print scarf with something army green will be so street style look!
Mix prints- You rarely see people pair leopard print with anything but solid color. Mix it up! This season’s trend is also clashing the prints. Wear stripes and leopard print or polka dot and leopard prints together!

Hope you guys liked it!

Sweater care secrets!

Hi guys!
How are you my lovelies? Autumn season is on full force and winds are so harsh in Nottingham! Sweater season is upon us, it’s fun and exciting time to take out those cable knits and cosy sweaters and start with new sweater trend. But it’s not easy to keep sweaters in a new condition since wear and tear tends to show easily. So here I am sharing some sweater care secrets with you guys!

  1. Shop for quality
The quality of a sweater makes a difference in how long it’s going to last and how well it’s going to wear. Examine the sweaters before you purchase them to fabric content, care instructions and how well its stitched. Looser weaves are not usually going to last long.
  2. Fold, don’t hang!
Never hang the sweaters because it stretches them out, particularly in the shoulders and hemline. To give your sweaters the longest life, fold them and place them in a drawer or shelf instead.
  3. AVOID the dryer
Some sweaters say they’re dryer safe but I’ve found out dryer is really harsh on sweater!! I did the mistake of putting in the dryer and 2 of the sweaters shrunk! After doing lot of research, I found out the best way to let your sweater dry is lay them flat.
  4. Wash on the gentle cycle or hand wash
Most sweaters require special care. Washing them on the gentle cycle or hand washing is usually the best method of cleaning them. I mostly wash mine on the gentle cycle with other delicate items and they turn out wonderfully. Using a detergent meant for delicate fabrics such as woolite can be helpful, too.

    Hope you guys liked it!
    Until next post,

    Love,

How to style your little black dress?

Hi guys!
How are you my lovelies? The first rule of fashion club is that you should always have a little black dress in your arsenal. There are many ways to style your little black dress, it is still considered a classic today. So here I am, writing and sharing some tips with you all!

Carry a red bag: add a simple-but highly effective pop of color to your little black dress by adding a red handbag. If not red then try metallic colors like gold or silver with the look. To be honest, just experiment with some pop color!!
Wear a statement necklace: let your accessory do the talking when you wear a statement necklace with a little black dress. If you wear a necklace this major, be sure to keep other accessories to a minimum to let the necklace take center stage.
Add a leather jacket: a cute, easy way to make your cocktail dress a little edgier is by adding a leather jacket. But you could also add a black leather jacket to a black dress.
Wear nude shoes: wear nude shoes, with your little black dress. One can also opt for nude pumps.
Try red lips: make a major statement by adding the red lipstick to get the catchy and edgier look, by wearing sleek hair, minimum jewelry, will get the eyes catching at you.
Add a belt: create waist definition or add a pop color by adding a belt to your little black dress. You can add a bright or metallic for the contrast.

Hope you guys liked it! 🙂
Until next post,
